Half-Chinese, half-Egyptian, born in New Zealand, raised in England, Bobby then lived in San Francisco and New York as a hedge fund trader, comedian, musician, seafood supplier, and chef. Bobby is a citizen, student, cuisinier and raconteur of the world. Now he is owner and head chef at his Restaurant Bobby Chinn in Hanoi, Vietnam. Luxe Guide's entry says, "Sexy, saucy, laid back, funky, smart, casual, fun, and that's just Bobby." "Hanoi's gastronomic enfant terrible," quoted the Financial Times. The Wall Street Journal rated this "the best California cuisine outside California".
